How do you feel about Juniors??

I don't know my baby's gender yet but if I have a boy I REALLY don't want a Jr. It's unoriginal and boring to me and it's insulting if we end up having another son. Me and my SO have discussed names and he did mention the possibility of a Jr but we have 2 other options. Well yesterday my SO says I think I want to have a Jr and I just rolled my eyes lol.. I tried to ignore him. Anybody else feel this way?

I know a guy named Daniel Lee he named his first born Daniel Lee Jr. then he named his second boy Daniel Lee III....

My brother is a Jr. When they get older you have to make sure they specify they are Sr. and Jr. Especially on important documents, when they get a job etc. my dad will get calls for things and it's for my brother and vice versa. Just some food for thought. It's work. But, it's your baby and family and you do what you want! No one else's opinion matters!! Good luck!☀️

My dad is a Jr. and had trouble when his dad fell back on taxes? They came after my dad becuase they thought he was him? Kinda weird but make a case for that say the dumb government will have a hard time differentiating haha

My hubby is a junior and he hates his father, he's a total deadbeat. He hasn't even seen him since he was 17 (we're in our thirties). To make matters worse, his dad had another son with another lady and made him a junior too! Same name as my hubby. It's also confusing because some of his documents have junior and some don't and sometimes they have to match

Junior names are ok but I don't really want one. My grandpa is a Junior and has never really said one way or the other how he feels about it. My husband was completely against our son being jr then wanted to name him "Junior" for his first name. Um no lol

I hate Jr. Names I always felt that people would expect him to grow up and be just like his dad and I don't want that. We're expecting our first born; a boy and I want him to have is own identity and be whatever he wants to be. I have a feeling that when he's born he's going to be spitting image of his daddy and people are going to call him Jr anyways. Which would drive me crazy. As for my husband he let me pick the name and is fine with no jr :)

Dh's family does all the first born sons named Robert, but different middle names, so no offical jr. I don't love it, but I knew it going in, so I accept it.

I don't like it either. Hubby said he thought we'd just name him after him so we wouldn't have to stress anout coming up with one.

I dislike jr's...my dad and brother have the same names...i would have a jr if i realllyyyy liked the name...
