Type 1 diabetes

Im a mom of a type 1 diabetic son. Just womdering if any of you are T1 also or have close loved ones that are?? My son was diagnosed a year ago at 6 years old, October 19, 2014. His blood sugar was 1025, he was in a coma and was on deaths door step. Thanks to his doctors he was well and out of the hospital in 4 days. Now hes 7, checks his own sugar, gives his own insulin and can always tell when hes low. Anyone else have stories to share??
