What can make labor more comfortable?

What are some items to bring from home to make the stay at the hospital more comfortable? So far all I know is a pillow and my own towels.

An epidural lol jk jk. 
But when I was in labor I played uno with my family for hours, I had several people in my room (mother in law, mother, birth coach, grandmother, husband, sometimes my dad, and birth coach) which made for really fun games. It was a good way to get my mind off of things and to relax a lot since after all laughter is the best medicine. Even if you don't like uno, just bring a deck of cards. 
But also, bringing your own robe and slippers maybe a good book or your iPod/MP3 players.

Your own pillow, blanket, towels, shoes for the shower, any special snacks you like, tennis balls for back labor, change for vending machines, robe, slippers/comfy soft socks, small radio, etc. You get the idea. Lol.
