Who got an hsg test done??

Question

I have mine scheduled for November 18th if this cycle isn't successful & I'm a little nervous. Can anyone share how it went during and how you felt afterwards?

I had one done a couple weeks ago. Dr told me to take tyelenol 30 min before but it really did hurt more than I expected. It could have hurt more because one of my tubes was blocked, but it felt like really bad menstural cramps (like I've never experienced) but the pain ended once the dr was finished. After I had light bleeding for a few hours and mild cramping.

I had one done on August. I had a lot of cramping after  and alot of pain during  but only when they filled the balloon on the catheter. They had a hard time inserting the catheter so they used an os finder to dilate my cervix. I had a blocked tube which opened up after turning feom side to side a few times and I have an arcuate uterus. My ob dr is going to do femara a couple times with me and if no luck I will be sent to reproductive endocrinology to try IUI or IVF. I also have pcos and SO has low sperm motility.

It was uncomfortable, but not too much more than an annual well woman's exam. I bled and had menstrual-like cramps for a day or two, but like a very light period. Mine was not successful. Both tubes totally blocked.
