Happy to share the arrival of Emma Joyce

At 41 weeks & 5 days, Emma was born after just a 5.5hr labor & less than 25 minutes of pushing. We started off two days before with taking misoprostol in an effort to kick start labor while avoiding pictocin. It worked! After the 4th dose on Wed I was sent home & told to go to bed right away. At 1am I was up and having contractions. Bloody show happened around 4:30, followed by my water breaking in a movie like way with the very next contraction. With that we set off for the hospital. Arrived at 5:25 and was sent right to a birthing room. She was born at 5:50! 

Husband, doula, midwife & nursing team were wonderful! They all thought it was funny when my first post-labor remark was, "that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!"

Feeling so lucky to be this little lady's mother. She is already such a joy!
