Am I clingy?

My husband just left tonight for the marine corps ball and he's attending a concert tonight specifically. He won't be back until Monday night. Before he left I jokingly said "are you actually going to text and call me this time?" because usually when he leaves for a couple days or longer on military excursions, he hardly talks to me. And he is allowed to use his phone during that time. I get maybe three one word texts in the span of 7 days. Anyways he looked at me funny and said "no, I actually didn't plan on texting or calling you at all. I can go 2 days without talking to you." And that was kind of hurtful...I didn't say anything but I thought to myself, just because you CAN go so many days without communication, why should you? I feel left out already because we were unable to afford two ball tickets so I couldn't attend the ball with him which is a fairly big deal, and because I couldn't go, he and his friends were able to plan to go to a concert tonight. Because they're all sharing a hotel room and wouldn't feel comfortable with me there. Anyways my point is...Am I overly clingy or is it reasonable to want to talk to your husband at least once a day when you're apart? I feel like it's pretty normal...
