Experience w/ Womack at Fort Bragg?

I am currently pregnant with my first, my husband and I have prime, so I will be delivering at Womack. I am just curious with anyone's experience there. I have heard more bad than good and it's making me nervous and consider switching to standard and finding somewhere off post to finish out my pregnancy. Any advice? Or info on switching from prime to standard?

I was considering the same. But I heard the same things about cape fear so I ended giving birth at Womack in January. The nurses were great. My only problem I had was they were slow. I came in having contractions I was 4cm dilated having contractions and asked for something for the pain. I ended delivering in a within an hour naturally because they didn't give me anything.

Unfortunately I lost my pregnancy at Bragg. But before all that happened and during it, I had the amazing help of Dr's Tarney and Hong at Womack. They were amazing to my husband and I. When I get pregnant again I will be  asking for them. See if you can get a hold of them, you wont be sorry. Good luck to you!

I had many friends deliver there and they liked it. Didn't hear hardly anything bad. The rooms were very big when we came to visit too. I delivered at cape fear and it was HORRIBLE! They induced me too early, so after trying everything including 2 bags of pitocin, cervadil, foley bag, breaking my water, and two days... My cervix said "nah, it's still too early" 4 days later they wheeled me into the OR after not wanting a c section or an epidural.

Obviously my case was very particular, but I'm sooooo glad we're stationed back in Cali and I'll be delivering here and not there again. Also, the post partum rooms were TINY!
