My husband recently started taking Ritalin after discussing the fact that he THINKS he has ADHD with a co-worker who is diagnosed. The coworker decided to give my husband his Ritalin since he doesn't use it himself. I warned my husband 6 weeks ago when he first told me about these pills how dangerous it is to take psych meds without a doctors supervision or without a full psych assessment done. He initially agreed. I noticed he seemed more snappy and agitated in the beginning of the week, and was beginning to get anxious about how it seemed to be continuing and slowly intensifying. I have severe anxiety and depression and was beginning to think it was me-I must be just hypersensitive right now. Then he told me last night that he'd started taking these damn pills and I have almost zero doubt that is what's causing his behavior change. Anyone have any advice on how to approach this? I'm anticipating him telling me that my anxiety is making me see his behavior this way, but I know that's not what this is.
