Ejaculating to early

So my 18 year old boyfriend and I have started having sex. It was amazing for the first week or two but now for some reason my boyfriend is ejaculating 2-3 mins in and struggles to get hard afterwards. He feels terrible about it and usually gets pretty upset saying he's not doing his job. Is this normal? And is there anything we can do to make it better?
