Let's share our sweet engagement stories! My husband and I met six months before he left on a 2 year mission. We dated the last month & 1/2 before he left. He always said he wanted to dance in the gazebo lit up in the park. Two years later after a ton of emails and letters he came home to me. 2 months later I woke up, and had a note on my car sending me on a treasure hunt across town. Where we met, where we looked at the city lights, etc. The last one said "Let's go dancing" and I knew exactly where. I went home and got all dolled up and went. When I got there the little gazebo was lit up with white twinkle lights everywhere and he was holding a rose and music was playing. We danced for a minute before he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. ❤️ it was magical.
