Pregnant with IUD?

I'm posting this here because I know it'll actually get looked at and answered. So I've had the Paraguard (copper) IUD for just about a year and a half. It's still in place, as of last time I checked (roughly a month ago). However, I've been experiencing some pregnancy-like symptoms; crazy bloating, super fatigued, I'm always hungry (which doesn't happen to me ever), I'm peeing way more than usual, my vaginal secretions are excessive and really watery, and I'm spontaneously feeling nauseous or light headed. Does it sound like I'm pregnant? Has anyone on here ever gotten pregnant with the IUD still in place? If so, what did you do with the IUD? Is it better to leave it in, or have your doctor remove it?

Well, I've never had the IUD, but you can always test, depending on how late your period is. Or you can have a blood test done at your doctor's office. 
If it comes back positive, I would discuss with your OB on what would be best.

My friend got pregnant with the Mirena in. I believe they took it out between 12-16 weeks.

I have! I had Mirena. I didn't know till I was about 13 weeks when I was getting very sick. Thought it was the flu but was morning sickness. Other than that, I had no symptoms. I didn't have a period, but hadn't for 6 months. I ended up losing the baby a few weeks later though :(

If your really pregnant you need to have that thing taken out immediately the longer you have it in the more likely you are to have a miscarriage I had my copper IUD for 4 1/2 years. I had a missed period I called my dr she said I shouldn't on the cooper iud. I had an appointment made ASAP. I had it taken out that day and still had a 75% chance of miscarriage. It's very important that you take a test today. And get it out. I'm not being over dramatic. It's an emergency. Thankfully my son made it. My dr called it the miracle baby. My mom got pregnant on the same iud and she miscarried.

On rare occasions women get pregnant with an IUD and it has to be removed.

Take a test :) definitely take a test, but the odds you're pregnant are hella low :)

Get it removed!!!! If you are it's very dangerous the baby can develop in your tubes or other very high risk pregnancys. Test and be positive. Even if you don't want a baby it's a risk to your health keeping it in
