Kick count?

Hey ladies,

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I was wondering when you lady's started doing your kick counts? An if you had any advice to make baby move more.

Baby doesn't really start moving alot to bother with kick/movement counts until 28 weeks. Up until that point most doctors tell you not to count or pay to much attention to them.

But to try and get your baby moving drink ice cold water, apple juice, orange juice or have something just high with sugar.

I've heard 28 weeks from some, but my doctor told me to start counting at 32 weeks, so you don't have to worry about that yet. Your babies kicks will not always be consistent at this point.

At least until 3rd trimester to start worrying about counting kicks.

Can't really kick count at that stage but can keep a mental note of when he/she moves like times of the day. I'm 24 week and had a trip to maternity unit for reduced movements. If you're baby has set times of day that they move and it's not the same or as strong always safe to get checked and that's what the midwifes are for x
