Mucous Plug Question (no pic)

Monday I was dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced. Tuesday my belly kept getting super tight like 2 - 4 times every 5 minutes..Wednesday they kind of lightened up, but around lunch I wiped and there was a super thick/sticky/clear kind of mucous (sorry for tmi)..could that have been a part of my mucous plug? An hour later there was even more when I wiped..now there's just little bits and pieces.. ftm please help!!
