My ex and my new

In the beginning of this year my ex boy friend asked me out.. I told him yes considering I had been madly in love with him since we had become friends two years earlier. About 4 months ago I broke up with him for a couple reason: he was lying to me , he cheated a couple times, and I met my new boyfriend who I can't get over lol....well the point to this is after we broke we decided we wanted to be friends which made extremely happy. My new boyfriend told me I had to choose between my ex and him. I choose my new boyfriend. But now I can't talk to my ex I told him this and this what he said 👇👇👇👇👇... Someone tell me I did the right thing?
