I want to have my twins natural but someone just told me that most people have Csections an can't do natural because they are twins....is that true????

My doctor said (among other things) it depends on the position of twin a. If twin a is head down, I can go for a vaginal delivery.

I'm 21+3 with identical twin girls. My OB recommended a c section at my last appt (after initially saying a vag delivery was an option). Apparently my placenta is anterior and low, instead of moving up as my uterus grows it's moving down. It's also my first pregnancy and I'll be 42 when they arrive. Add to that a shared placenta and he feels the risks to my girls is too high to risk it. I just want two healthy, safe little girls, and if this is what it takes, then so be it 😊

My OB says as long as they're both head down we can go for natural. If one is breech or transverse it's an automatic c section.

My doctor said it depends on each individual case. With me, we are going ahead with a c section. Twin B is breech, and normally he'd deliver the second breech if they were close in size, or even better if she was smaller. But my little chunk is a whole pound and a half bigger (I know that can be off, but rather safe than sorry) than her sister. Plus, they share a placenta, and trying to take time to turn her after one chord has been cut has its risks alone. He said he just doesn't feel very confident that between all the factors that it wouldn't end up a vaginal delivery for A and emergency c-section for B. And i definitely do NOT want that. Haha

My doc said that I could try natural if they were head down and possibly if one was breech..... Depending on who was on call.  Apparently only 3 of the doctors in their firm are trained to turn breech babies.  So whether or not I have a c-section will be at the mercy of who is there when I deliver.

Not at all! My perinatalogist and OB both told me as long as baby A is head down, both can be delivered naturally. There is no increased concern for C-section from them.

I have an awesome doctor, he told me I have more choices because of his age. (He actually delivered my and my Hubby) many doctors now are trained to deliver twins by csection. He said the ones that say you have too always have more hair on their heads...lol.

if Baby A is head down that he sees no problem in me delivering vaginally especially as I have had 3 other kiddos vaginally. He has also delivered lots of twins, including my Hubby and his identical twin brother.

We are just playing it by ear, if there are complications or Baby A is transverse or breech then we will discuss CSection, but it isn't automatic.

I'll be having mine via c-section but also, one of my twins has a heart defect so my doctor told me no matter what, I would have to have a c-section since squeezing the one through the birth canal wouldn't be as safe for him.
