Did you have to stay in hospital until birth ?

So I'm 34 weeks today with twin boys and I was admitted at 33 weeks for preeclampsia signs. Mainly blood pressure. Dr came in and said I need to stay until I deliver at 36 weeks. My blood pressure has been stable and I'm wondering why I still have to stay in. Did your dr say the same thing ? Did you have to stay for a while in the hospital too?

I had preeclampsia with my twins at 19weeks and was hospitalized until they were born at 32weeks preeclampsia is very very dangerous for not only you but them babies to it can nor only cause high blood pressure it can cause blood clots heart attack stroke for you and babies babies oxygen can be cut off their blood pressure can rise as well my dr checked my daughters out on a friday and they were looking good asked me if I thought I could make it through the weekend and on monday she planned to do a ultrasound first thing in the morning if babies looked good do an amnosentesis to check their lung development well when the ultrasound was done not even a hour after the nurse had checked on me and did stress test on babies ones blood pressure was elevated and the other had low oxygen and wasn't moving much had emergency c section within 30 minutes and borh babies were out

I wouldn't risk it. If they say you should stay then stay. I would rather have my babies watched then not know what's going on. Better to be safe than sorry.

I've been in the same boat with "pre preeclampsia" since 24 weeks. I'm at 30 now and stable. Read this article in bed rest and maybe share it with the doc: http://harpers.org/archive/2015/12/the-bed-rest-hoax/ unless you're in labor, I would question it. Also, I've been taking baby aspirin, daily injection of Lovenox (blood thinner), and a BP med and it's working as a treatment. Good luck! Hope that helps.

Things can change and be taken day to day but I'd highly recommend following docs advise.  Preeclampsia isn't something to mess with if that's what they are thinking.
