Put yourself in their shoes and tell me if youd be annoyed or not?

So say your sister-in-law is this person who you generally dont get along with. You havent done or said anything to each other thats rude or mean. You 2 just do NOT get along and thats that. Your personalities dont fit and you're polar opposites of eaxh other. 
On the 1-10 hate scale, you're at about a 6. Purely just because you guys dont "vibe" at all and just dont like each for no other reasoning except that. Do you understand the relationship enough yet? Haha

Anyways, now say your sister in law left you a little note just saying "i hope you have a good day today :)". No rhyme or reason to it. How would this note make you feel, knowing you have a decent "hate" towards this individual. Would it piss you off, or would it soften you a little.

Just try to talk to her my BEST FRIEND literally in the whole world is my husband's best friend's wife and when I met her I thought OMG she must hate me. Is she just a bitchy person? But we had invited them out to a barbecue and they came but she had just had her first baby and I hadn't thought it through. We hadn't ever spoken and hubby never told me she had had the baby or even when she was due, I was just trying to make friends. She was mad it was outside. It was chilly even though it was July. Had I realized she had had the baby I would have not invited so many people and just had them over inside for dinner. I really only wanted to try and make friends with her but I invited others as a buffer. Now we laugh about it all the time! We lived in a tiny apartment at the time no space for more than 4-5 people in the living room. I feel so guilty now and then but she just laughs and says I didn't know and it's in the past. She is my very best friend but at first we just didn't "vibe" because we are both very introverted people. We each have the meme on our phone that says "you are my favorite bitch to bitch about bitches with!" And when one of us is having a bad day the other will send it. Lol she will be the first person to know the baby's sex this time. We planned a surprise for our family Christmas party and she wants to know ASAP lol. I asked her if she wanted a text or a call or a stocking with candy and the sex of baby written on a card stuffed inside she said whichever is fastest I said I'll text you the moment we know. Lol. Just saying, sometimes you get diff vibes if someone is trying to be careful.

It would at least make me think that she was making an effort. You can't be best friends overnight after a start like that. I don't love my sister in law like my own sister but we can go shopping together and have some fun too.

I understand how you feel.
My husbands sister in law is a complete bitch I have never ever done anything to her tbh I've barley even spoke to her ever she walks around think she's queen b when she really isn't so two days ago she made a comment to my husbands sister saying "I'm waiting for her to say something so I can smash her in the teeth" so I put a picture up deliberately saying "I love when people talk behind my back but say nothing to me" and now she's texting me and my husbands sister being horrid! I had two miscarriages one at 5 weeks one at 12 weeks(missed miscarriage) anyways she said "your jealous because you can't have kids" also saying to husbands sister "your son is a pedo" talking about a 3 year old just because he runs around naked sometimes I mean what child don't run around naked atleast once in there life? I hate her with a passion and truly would not care if she dropped dead now!

Sometimes in our mentality we feel a certain way and think negative  things about people  when in reality it's all in your head and not the other person. But who knows maybe she wants to reach out to you.

Are you sure that it's not a one sided thing in your head? Sounds like she is trying to have a better relationship with you. I wouldn't be mad, I would be confused I guess..
