I need some help

A while ago I asked my boyfriend if we had a baby would he help take care of our child in the early am? His response was "no not if I have  work early am"  well his answer set me way back in my seat. Well now I have a decision I have to make. Today was going to be the last day I stop taking my birth control so we could try to have a child. But from his response from so long ago has eaton me alive inside all day and I just don't know what to do. Talking now to him only makes him more mad, it's almost useless.. /:
