Intervention

I know. A lot of people don't like the show due to its nature. But you know what? Its a excellent show (i think it's no longer aired..I'm unsure..) because it is a showcase of the harsh realities of untreated drug use and eating disorders. My mother used it as a very straightforward teaching tool. I remember the first episode we watched together. I was 16. I was in shock. She said to me, "There it is. That is how those people live their lives..every day. That is their REALITY. Don't make that mistake. Please..I was your age once and I've made my fair share of mistakes. But if you ever touch anything other that marijuana, I will beat your ass with love in my heart."

It worked. That has made a lasting impression and helped mold the person I am today. If it's suitable for your household and your children are of age to watch..share this with them. But also stress that if (I hope to hell it doesn't happen!) something happens, there is help and hope <3
