28w5d, just diagnosed
I've had crazy thirst for a while now, which made me a little suspicious about GD. Failed 3/4 of the blood glucose tests. I see the dietician Friday, but I'm feeling pretty unstable now, and mornings are really rough. I'm hoping to do Whole30 to treat it, but I'm feeling frustrated that I have to find out my diagnosis and then wait to get any information or testing equipment. I feel ill-equipped.
I've gained only about 8 pounds this pregnancy, and I was feeling good about that until I found this out-- now I'm wondering if it's a result of being ill and not knowing it? I lost a ton of weight early in pregnancy from being nauseous all the time.
I'm trying to stay positive! We only have about 11 weeks left, and I'm accustomed to drastic changes in my diet for health reasons. I'm really hopeful that with proper monitoring I can get my energy back and do this with diet changes and some exercise alone!
