Ready for sex.

I am ready for sex. I have held it off and knew I wasn't ready for a long time. But I know for a fact that I am so ready. I love my boyfriend so much. And he's amazing. But I want to be on birth control before we have sex. And of course use a condom. Double protection. But my mom would never get me birth control knowing it was for that reason. I don't know how to confront her with out her over reacting and getting mad. I know when I'm ready. And I am. Is my mom holding me back? Am I actually not ready? How do I talk to her about Birth control? Help!
