Preggo Nurses

I'm pregnant with my first baby and currently work in step-down in the hospital. I'm interested in hearing from other mommy nurses who worked through their pregnancy. I'm worried because of everything we are exposed to and expected of us to just deal( short staffing, heavy patients,etc). I'm not sure they always seem to really care about us :(. Just interested in what other people's experience was and any advice.
