I just need opinions

So my boyfriend just made the Sherrifs department and I am so happy and proud of him. The thing is he is going to go through a 22 week academy and his estimated academy ending date coincides with my due date. This can probably cause him to miss our first child's birth. I don't want to give him a hard time and I want to be supportive but I don't think it just upsets me knowing he might not be there. Have you ladies experienced this/something similar ?
