What is good money per hour where you are from?

Just curious because I saw someone on here say that they made good money at 20.00 per hour and then someone commented and asked if that was a typo because that wasn't good money... I live in southeastern KY and we consider making 10.50 an hour decent money... It just shocks me to know the difference. Comment where you are from and what is considered good money.

I'm in Los Angeles and the cost of living is very high. In order to live comfortably and not drown in rent and bills $25+ per hour is needed and that's just minimal. I figured $30-$40 per hour would let someone live more comfortably.  A 1 bedroom apartment costs about $1500 per month.

I actaully commented under the women who asked if it was a typo. I live in middle TN and $15 an hour is considered great pay. A lot of the factories out here pay $8 an hour and work you too hard. So for anyone making $15 they're considered lucky.

Wow. Here in FL people who work retail jobs or restaurant jobs get paid 10$ an hour. Which is what I've always worked. But in order to have a comfortable living without worrying about bills, people need to get a job making AT LEAST 15$. And our rent is cheaper than a lot of places here. I mean, you get a 2 bedroom apartment for 800/900$ or a 4 bedroom house for 1300$. I've heard its cheaper than many states.

I think it also depends on what kind of job you're talking about. A skilled job that you went to school for deserves more money per hour (e.g. I was in PR/marketing and made $25/hour. My husband has a PhD and makes $35+/hour). If you're working retail or something similar then anything over $10 is good IMO. In general I think people are under paid no matter what kind of job you're in. But it does depend on where you live as well.

I live in north idaho retirement type of community . People are excited when they land a job that pays 10.50 its alot like the lottery.

So... In the greater Toronto area, an entry level salary is about $30,000 to $35,000, which translates to like $15-$18 per hour. For someone like a marketing coordinator who is a recent grad with little to no work experience other than maybe co-op through school, entry level usually is around $40-45,000 annually. Someone entering the workforce who is a recent computer science grad having done a 4 year university co-op program can expect something like $50,000 annually. 
It really depends on where you live, what kind of job you are doing, etc...
Minimum wage in Ontario is $11.25/hr so that's what you'd get for flipping burgers or pouring coffee.
It also costs $1500-$2000 a month to rent an apartment, and average one bedroom condos cost like $350,000 downtown Toronto. So consider that too.

In Ohio there are many rural areas, $10 is good, $15 is great, $20+ is very good and 30and above will make you a good living here.
Average rent is between $400-700 for rentals....I make about almost $50k a year and for the area that's good.

Live in Texas. Minimum wage is $7.25 and doesn't get you anywhere. 1bd apartments can be from $450 to $700. But with my family we're looking at 2bd apartments, and they cost anywhere from $750(roaches) to $1000. And we live off of $10/h. It's hard to find jobs that are higher than $9/h without some education from college. My last job paid me $13/h to inspect raw chicken that you all eat in restaurants and to me that was being rich lol.

Minimum wage in Ontario where I live I believe is $11.25/hr. My boyfriend makes $12.25/hr and is def not enough to support us. Hoping he will find something around $15 or $16/hr.
