Thyroidectomy and pregnancy
Hi!!
Has anyone else had a full thyroidectomy? I had mine in September due to two large nodules they found. Balancing out my TSH with my Synthroid medication has been a journey. My husband and I were very shocked that we were able to conceive so quickly to the surgery.
So apparently a TSH level should be between 0.03 and 5.0 - my endocrinologist says it should be between 1 - 2. I just had blood work done and mine is 5.37.
Doc says if I was able to get pregnant I should have no problem sustaining the pregnancy but I'm still nervous.
27yo, 5 weeks today, 2nd pregnancy.
Anyone else experience a similar situation?
