Crossing my fingers...

Alright so I fought with myself for posting a "could I be pregnant?" But here it goes... I'm really late on my period 10+ days but got a BFN a week ago. I checked my cm today and it was slightly brown in color and my cervix is high and medium. Any idea of what this could be? Should I retest? Or do you think it will be another BFN. Don't wanna get my hopes up.
