Birth control patch vs. IUD

I have been on the pill and shot before, will never go back to the shot, the pill is easy for me to forget. I'm trying to decide between the patch and the IUD. The patch seems easier than the pill and convenient but also seems like it'd fall off. The IUD also seems easy but it kind of freaks me out a little bit. What are some experiences you've had with one or both? What are pros and cons? Thanks (:
