Thoughts from my bible tonight..

Reading from a few safe places tonight.. we had a miscarriage Nov 7th, and there has been a gaping emptiness in my soul that I just haven't let Jesus very close to yet.. and then I read these. I hope the imagery from these verses speaks to you as well.♡

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:6 (NIV)

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

Psalm 42:7 NIV

When we push against the Lord and focus on ourselves and doubt His ability, it's like being a wave of the sea. When we trust in His love and focus on Him, that love crashes over us like a wave.

Same thing. But TOTALLY different feelings! Being overwhelmed by your problems versus being overwhelmed by your DADDY. Tonight, I choose to let those love-waves carry me out into the middle of a vast ocean of Jesus.

Life is so hard. But even that thing you're facing doesn't compare to the Lord's power and might. Amen♡ love you all and Merry Christmas!
