Mom Issues

I have read several articles about how most pregnant woman say they have never felt closer to their mothers but my experience has been the opposite. My mom and I live in different states and I never hear from her unless I reach out first. My husband thinks she's jealous because she has 7 kids and misses having her own babies. I recently tried to bring up when she will come visit after the baby is born and she said if she can't come right away she's not going to waste $700 on a last minute flight and she'll just wait for a month after so she can plan. I had simply asked that my husband and I have 3-4 days to figure things out on our own.  She said we're not going to know what to do, but I don't want someone telling me what I'm doing wrong every minute. Kind of sad but now I want her there even less. Anyone else experience this with their mothers?
