Very late - please help

I'm 8 days late and for two days I've just had a very small amount of brownish discharge, 5 days ago I took a year and got a negative - could I be pregnant? I had cramps three days ago that felt like my period was coming but still nothing? I'm going to do another test tommorow but just wanted to see what some people think ☺ I'm so excited for the day I concieve and become a mother 💜
