What temp do babies need the house kept at?

We have propane, which is expensive to fill the tank, so as of now we suffer through the winters, sometimes our house is 50 degrees... OBVIOUSLY the house can't be that cold when baby arrives, but what's a recommended temp? Like minimum, I don't want baby to be freezing, but I honestly can't stand the house when its like 72+

Every baby will be a little different. If you feel their fingers and toes after being in bed for awhile and they are cold, the house needs to be warmer. Don't want a sick baby all the time

I would definitely put a space heater in the room for the baby. I'd say mid 60's is a good idea

My nurse told me 68-72 but my gloegg thing that is suppose to help you keep the perfect temp says 65-68 is best. Really, just feel the baby's fingers/toes. If they are cold then make it warmer.

Babies feel like we feel. They don't need a specialized environment. Most people feel comfortable 65-70. Sleepers and swaddling will help in a cool room.
