I'm marrying my high school sweetheart in April we're both 19 and have been together since we were 17/16 ❤️ he was a year ahead of me in school 😊 My parents are happy for us and the majority of their close family friends were high school sweethearts but they do wish we would wait till we're 25... We both have good jobs and our own house 🏡💵 So please share your stories ! ❤️

I personally believe to get married when you think you're ready. 
You're the only one that can judge that but be sure you're sure.

My now husband and I met when we were 18\19 
And we got married when we were 23\24 (this past November )

I've been with my husband since I was 13 we had a child when I was 15 and married at 18. I love my husband more than words can explain and so does he . You know when something is right and when something is wrong he has never mistreated me, never gave me reason to not trust him. He is my best friend and I would not have my life any other way. Him and my son are the best things that has ever happen to me!!! Now we've been married almost three years and TTC for baby #2.. I wish you the best and hope everything turns out well... God Bless

My parents are happy and excited but they both married young but got divorced before marrying each other so that's why they're hesitate... My fiancé's parents have been together since they were 18/20 and they're happy for us ❤️ I don't have any doubts I just wanted to hear others stories 😊

My grandma and grandpa got married at 18, were married over 50yrs (would be 60now if gpa had lived). My mom and dad started dating in 10th grade and got married at 19yrs old. They will be together 33yrs this fall. I think it's possible but not easy, it takes extreme dedication to be with the same person for that long. I got married at 23 and he wasn't my HS sweetheart but I always admired my grandparents and parent's relationships.

We met when I was 15 (he was 17) started dating when I was 16 (he was 18) and engaged at 18 (he was 19- were 1 1/2 years part lol) and then married at 20 and 22) now I'm 21 and we just passed our 1/2 year mark.

Advice: premarital counseling! Also listen to the rational adults who know your relationship. My mother freaked out because I wasn't 25 yet (why is that a common number to be "ready") but we were paying bills and getting everything taken care of on our own and we were ready.

The reason people suggest waiting to marry until you're 25 is because you have the most growth between the ages of 18 and 25. If you don't want to wait, there's nothing wrong with that. Be prepared for some difficult times in the early years (the first five years of marriage are the hardest and they are even more difficult when you're young) but if you work together you'll get through any rough patches. I'm still with my middle school/high school sweetheart. I'm now 21 & he's 20. He's the love of my life. We have our own place. We aren't married yet nor are we in a rush to be married we don't need a piece of paper to tell us what we already know in our hearts. I love hearing of other high school sweethearts since there's only like two other couple that graduated with us that stayed together like we have. I wish you the best of luck.
