Baby name conflict

So we have first names picked out and I have always wanted to have my daughter's middle name as my own like my mum did with me. The father knows I've always wanted to do this. Now that there is a bigger possibility (cord was between the legs) that it's a girl he is kicking up a huge fuss about it.  It's not like I have a bad middle name, it's Annette and it's a little old fashioned but I like keeping family names. Thoughts?
