I opted for preschool for both my girls, mainly for the social part of it. They're both shy, the oldest one was more shy. But it helped them grow tremendously in that area. It's good for them to experience being away from me too, since I'm a stay at home mom. It's all aboutwhat's best for you and your kids!

Answer

Yes.  It prepared him emotionally, intellectually and physically.  If it's a good program it's almost like kindergarten.  If your child wasn't in organized/structured day care prior to attending kindergarten, I would definitely recommend pre-school.
