Why do legit questions go unanswered?

I just need to rant and vent a bit, nothing against anyone and I'd rather not have rude comments. But I just get so discouraged when I post something, or ask a question, and no one answers! Get sooo many views but no one bothers to help me out. It's very irksome because I really want the advice, but no one is willing to help it seems...I have to try and find another post that is kinda similar to mine to maybe get answers. I don't understand...

Ok, sorry, rant over. Just wanted to get that off my chest.. I'm over it now.

Is it a question thats been asked a million times that day and that you can easily search and find the answer you need, or google?

Are you posting in the right group? Because I'm not answering any questions in CC that are about constipated kids or strange vaginal discharge. This group is not really a Q&A group. This question isn't controversial either.

I look at pretty much every question on here. If I don't answer it then it means that 
 
1. I don't know the answer, either because there isn't enough info provided in the question, or it's not my area of knowledge. 
2. The question is asked too often and I'm sick of answering it. 
3. It is an issue that will resolve itself and doesn't need to be answered.

Usually if I don't answer, it is because I don't know. I would rather not give poor input, and I figure saying I don't know is not what anyone is really looking for.
I would imagine most people probably have similar reasons....

I understand how you feel! Happens to me sometimes. But you always have to remember some people just don't know what to say or have any advise

I assume You'd rather have educated responses than just people throwing out any answer?

Sometimes when I look at posts I seriously have no answer or not enough info to have formed a view on that topic. Sooo...I shut up.

Other times I'm annoyed because I've just seen 2 or 3 threads on the same topic & I don't feel like answering again (if I did on other similar threads).

Or I don't have time to get into my drawn out response at the moment.

Or I'm uninterested in debating at that time (which is what this group is for).

There are plenty of reasons. I don't create posts on here but I can imagine it does suck to see "my finger is stuck in my butthole, should I take it out? " and that thread has 80,000 comments, and folks commenting about how much of a troll they are, etc. And then when you post legit controversial questions they have 80,000 views and like 3 responses tops.

Maybe your question was just too good & got Penrod to thinking 😉

Sometimes the topics attracted me but when i read on, i realised i have no answers! So i chose not to reply. I would rather not comment than to give nonsense advice/statements.

Yup. I have posted a couple times and I only post when I really need some answers. Mine seem to go unanswered as well. 😕

A lot of the time, I will read a post and just not have an answer. I try to answer when I do have one but if I have answered the same question  twice already that day, I'll skip it. Oh and sometimes I don't answer because it's kinda a common sense question and I don't want to be rude when I answer sarcastically.
