Affection

My SO is not affectionate at all. Even when we were friends, and he would be on the phone with his girl id be like "why don't you say I love you to her or call her babe or anything" and he'd tell me, "I'm not that type of guy I'm not like that". "Im not the lovey dovey type". Then we started dating. It's very rare he tells me he loves me, unless he's making love to me or it's a special occasion. He doesn't hold hands either, doesn't give flowers or even cards. It bothers me. When I say something to him he just says cuz he's not like that. I'm seeing this guy a year and a half already... Like idk. Is it just me?
