Postpartum sex after 2nd degree tear?

I'm not one to usually talk about my sex life but I'm curious, How long after a 2nd degree tear? It's been 5 weeks now.

I waited until after my 6 week check up and let me tell you... It's more painful than "losing virginity sex"! Have lots of lube and prepare your partner to go slow. It's painful for the first 5 or 6 times.

I had a fourth degree tear and didn't have sex for 6 months. Child birth put me right off and it still hurt. My baby was only small too. 6lbs 8 Oz.  Hate to think what would of happened if I had a bigger baby.

My first was so hard. Almost labled a 3rd degree tear. After 6 weeks they gavs mw a go ahead for sex, but said i was still a little red and irritated there. It hurt everytime we had sex till i get to 3 months. Then i felt normal.  I hope your recovery is fast! And yiur baby is worth every pain you experience!

Probably wait until you get the all clear from your dr, and until you feel comfortable. If you don't feel comfortable at 6 weeks than don't do it right?

I'd wait until at least 6 weeks. And yes, lots and lots of lube!! And slow... And don't be alarmed if you bleed a little afterwards. Like just when you wipe/clean up. And don't worry, it will continue to heal and get better! To almost before baby 😉
