Question for ladies w/ short cycles?

Hi I took a pregnancy test my period was due two days ago it came out negative however I still don't have my period and I'm on cycle day 24 I normally don't go past 20 days my question is for those who have short cycle how long did you have to wait before you got your BFP? I'm assuming I would have to wait a little longer than normal but I'm not sure when I ovulated I think I ovulated on December 26th

I usually have 26 day cycle. I tested on day 27, with digital, and was negative. Tested again on day 29 and got a positive. 
If it still doesbt come in a couple days, test in the morning with frer. Not a digital test.

My cycle is 21 days long and when I got pregnant in september (sadly ended in ectopic) I got a positive test 7 days before my af was supposed to show.
