To the Single Mothers
This week I am 10 weeks pregnant, just turned 20 and going to be a single mother. I really enjoy this app, but there is always a little bit of heart ache when I come across a post that reminds me....
My child will not have a father.
No, I do not get to share this life changing experience with a person I love.
I won't get to do cute maternity pictures with my significant other who adores my growing tummy.
I will not have the comfort of my child's father as I go through the pains of labor.
Yes, I will being doing this... alone.
My sleep is deprived by the thoughts of already failing my child who deserves everything, especially both parents.
Though life doesn't always turn out how we'd like it to.... As I know I can't be the only one, I wanted to reach out to all of the other single mothers... Embrace your pregnancy and every moment because although there are many things we do not have as we go through this journey; in the end, we have it all.
We will always have a hand to hold
A little body to snuggle
Every night a goodnight kiss
A date to every event
A person to always make memories
Someone who loves you no matter what you wear, how you do your hair or how much make up you put on
Who loves you on your worst days just as much on your good days
A little person who offers you a never ending love, and that is greater than anything else life or man has to offer
