Gagging but not nausea

I am 10 weeks 6 days pregnant with twins! I have gagged a through times so far but I hadn't actually thrown up till last night from brushing my teeth. The past few days I gave gagging a lot. I think it is because I may be getting sick and I feel phlegm going down my throat. Does anyone else gagging but does feel nauseous? Would ginger work or should I try something else?
