What to wash baby clothes with?

Is it necessary to use sensitive skin  or baby specific detergent to wash baby clothes? Just curious if I should start buying special detergent or continue buying normal stuff. Please comment!

I use All Free and Clear as well. Its cheaper and good for sensitive skin.

Any free and clear/sensitive skin one will probably work. I LOVE Dreft though honestly. There is just something about that baby detergent smell that makes me happy. I'm taking advantage of the recommendation to use baby detergent as long as I can 😉

Regular detergent but use a more natural/earth friendly kind and unscented. Seventh Generation is my favorite

I used regular with my son and he started getting a rash, I switched to dreft and rewashed all of his clothes and his rash went away. We used dreft for the first few months. Then he was fine with regular detergent.

A co-worker said their baby broke out in rashes when they used DREFT. They switched to the Tide free & gentle and it worked for them. But we all found out about BABYGANICS at the Babies r us registry party. My hubby &I will try that first to wash all baby's clothes and sheets, etc to be ready for her birth.
