Clomid Confessions: Chapter 1

Calling all clomid ladies!

Did you use clomid while TTC your baby? What was your experience with side effects of the med? How many cycles did it take to get the BFP? Is it possible to use clomid for baby #1 and not need to use this for #2? Did you have twins?

I'm on the 1st cycle of clomid (CD 6) TTC baby #1. I was a bit nervous about starting the med because of the known side effects (nausea, irritability, hot flashes). I've taken my dosage right before bed and that has helped with the nausea (only had this twice for about 15 min since I started on CD 3). Some irritability but not more than I usually feel around AF time. I'm happy it's been mild for me because I was gearing up for the worst based on the research I did before hand. Now, I'm waiting, impatiently/excitingly, for my ovulation day and missed AF in hopes that it takes on the first cycle. We are aware of the possibility of twins and are excited about it. Just want a happy, healthy baby (or two)! Sending baby dust to all those TTC with Clomid and without.
