Rhogam shot?

Did you have to get a Rhogam shot? My doctor is having me get one in two weeks when I'm 28 weeks. I just wanted to know if this is normal? I'm not Rh+ but he said its important for current pregnancy and later.

I meant I'm not Rh- but my blood type is - and my husbands is +. Would this be why?

Im RH- and and with rh - u get the shot at 28 weeks and then after birth depending on the blood type of baby i got mine last week too
