Emergency contraceptive diluted ?

My best friend confessed to me she had unprotected sex during her most fertile days. She later regretted it then bought an emergency contraceptive pill but she put it inside a gum she was chewing and let the pill dissolve inside the gum then chewed it (fucking weird and crazy I know) is there's still a chance the pill could still work ??
