Hesitation to Face Possible Disappointment

Alright, in 2011 I was diagnosed with PCOS. Did 3 rounds of clomid, didn't get pregnant. Turned out my now ex husband was next to infertile. A year later, I was told I was misdiagnosed, and I instead have a ovulation disorder where I don't always ovulate. And if I do, it's one side so my chances of having children without medication was slim to none. Fast forward to now, I've never had a true pregnancy (for lack of a better term) "scare". Well, until now.

My periods are fairly regular. To the point I know within a few days as it may come a day or 2 late then stay on that schedule a couple months, then the same thing, it'd give or take a couple days, then be that date for a couple months. Well last month I was 8 days late which hasn't EVER happened. It showed up. And I thought, of course it did, cause my body is stupid and just won't get pregnant. We're (my fiancé & I) not "trying", but it's one of those things that if it happened we would more than excited. So this month, the later date comes along just like last month, and as of right now I'm sitting at 10 days late.

My nipples hurt and have for 4 or 5 days.

I'm very constipated. VERY.

Heartburn of different intensities almost non stop for 4 or 5 days.

Bad back pain.

Swaying appetite. Wanting things I just DON'T eat.

Lightheaded and nauseous at times.

Very tired, of course.

My pms symptoms are very minimal and always have been. A day or 2 of cramps, a bit bloated, and breasts MIGHT be a little tender a day or 2. And I'm more hungry. That's about it. So you can see why along with my period being MIA for 10 days, that the other things are making me wonder.

I thought my chances of being a mom were slim to none. I let that ship sail to protect myself, but I never ever thought I'd have a child without a bunch of doctors and money involved. So I'm hesitant to take a test in fear of being disappointed. Heartbroken, even.

I just wanted to get this off my chest.
