If I were to misscary would a hpt still show positive?

So I hit my 10 weeks mark today! I am feeling extremely worried and concerned just a gut feeling. Over the past 3 weeks my symptoms (nausea, fatigue, sore breasts) have slowly gotten better and now vanished! No bleeding or cramping. I know a lot of people have told me this is normal and it's probably all fine but I'm extremely worried and I don't have a dr appointment til Monday! I was wandering if I were to buy a hpt do you think this would ease my mind for the next few days or would it say positive regardless of if I am still pregnant or not?

When I miscarried in June my hcg levels were in the 200s, the dr told us it likely happened about 2 weeks before because of what my numbers were reading...that definitely would have given me a positive hpt. I know it's hard, I think about the possibility of miscarriage everyday, but try to relax. Positive thinking can make all the difference. When you find yourself thinking about it, think about ANYTHING unrelated to babies/pregnancy. And if you believe, pray pray pray! If not, I'll be praying for you! Good luck XO

Be careful if you do test because the further along you are something called 'the hook effect' can happen which can cause a hpt to show fainter lines than you would expect. Happened to me the other day, I wanted to take a test just for reassurance, and it frightened me half to death!

I'm in the same boat. I'm 11w2d, but I feel like I'm not pregnant at all anymore. I don't know why. I have ultrasound appointment for monday and am terrified that they won't find a heartbeat or something. Trying to keep my mind occupied woth other stuff ans trying not to worry.

I am 11w2d and feel absolutely nothing, completely normal. If im honest I haven't felt much at all through my pregnancy so far, I've had a few day's where I've felt a little off but that's it. If I hadn't of had an early scan at 7 weeks I wouldn't believe I was pregnant. It's so worrying and I wish I was throwing up everyday to give me some reassurance. My dating scan isn't for another 2 weeks so I'm trying to stay positive. People tell me I'm lucky but I certainly don't feel it.

It'd take time for your levels to drop if you were miscarrying. So the test wouldn't work.

If it makes you feel any better I have this exact same worry! I have talk to my friend so I am getting it off my mind! I also went the other day and bought a test and did it to ease my mind!!

You can test positive on an hpt for several weeks after a miscarriage. I did for about 4 weeks after I lost my last. If you have had no bleeding you should.be fine. The closer you get to week 12 the less your symptoms a pear if you are lucky.

The only way to be reassured is to maybe buy a clear blue test that displays the weeks it thinks you are but even then it could be off. Your hcg levels wouldn't go back to zero until you've passed the sac and embryo, there's even a good amount of time after that. I've experienced two mc's and they have very distinct signs, I'm sorry you're feeling this doubt but worrying is something you'll become accustomed to as a mother!

It's very normal! The first trimester is horrible! The second is the easiest and you're approaching it☺ My tatas don't hurt horribly anymore but everything still makes me gag. I'm 12 weeks today.
