First time teen mom

I'm just wondering does the pain meds for natural birth make you say things that you don't mean to say like wacky gas? Also on a scale from one to ten how bad was the epidural needle because if I can't see the needle I panic and I don't wanna mess up anything in my body because I know I'm a jumper
