Heavy (TMI) clotty period on day 1 then nothing?

I was 18 days late for AF. But she showed yesterday with a vengeance. Was heavy bright red and several quarter sized clots with awful cramps.   Now today it has been barely there - had some cramps early this morning. Is this normal?  Should I be concerned?

I had this happen to me this week except I was 15 days late. Did you find out anything?

I would say maybe a very early miscarriage as thats what happened to me.
