Gender confusion?!

Today was my 20 week ultrasound the ultrasound tech said its a girl💗 but said the doctor has to check to make sure. Has this ever happened to anyone? I wanna start buying baby clothes but she has me worried. Because she didn't sound very convinced.

Techs usually have to say that. They're really not allowed to say anything, the doctor has to.

I disagree she is a ultrasound tec for a reason I had four kids and im pregnant with my 5th the tec told me for all of them

As a tech I would think they know what they're looking at unless it's clearly not clear and will need another ultrasound later in the pregnancy. Its their job to know what they're looking at, especially since the 20weekish ultrasound is mainly an anatomy scan, not solely to determine gender. Both pregnancies the tech told us what we were having and same for anyone else I know and my clients. We're in California.

US techs are allowed to reveal the gender to the patient. They just can't interpret the rest of the results, the doctor does that.
