Braxton hicks or #2

OK so this morning I woke up with horrible stabbing pain in my belly. I figured it was either contractions or I had to go #2. It only lasted a few seconds then it would go away. Few minutes later it returned. I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet and nothing happened. I decided to take a bath and I felt better but as soon as I got out I had the shooting pain that lasted a few seconds. Long story short I did go #2 and eventually the pain went away and I went back to sleep. Contractions or poop pain? It's weird had it came and went just like contractions. Could both be related somehow
